Done with Medium

I've had a Medium account since 2015 with several hundred posts, and still pulling around 500 views a week, all free and outside the Partner Program. I hadn't visited or posted in a very long time. Today, for no particular reason, I pulled up my profile. The first thing I noticed is that Medium is inserting ads in the middle of my posts.

That really fucking pissed me off. I deleted my account. Now visitors, instead of seeing an ad, will see a 404.
