ChatGPT ads

I use the free version of ChatGPT occasionally, and a week or two ago I started seeing ads. I knew they were coming, but it was still irritating to have one show up in the middle of a conversation.

Most of my use is on my MacBook using the native app. Since I mainly rely on it for some coding help now and then, a subscription doesn’t make much sense. So I looked for another option.

Here's what I came up with: I deleted the native app and set up a Safari Dock web app instead. With that, my ad blocker (uBlock Origin) takes care of the ads. So far, no ads. And the web app works just as well as the native app, maybe better.
